Da Brat is platinum rap super star from Chicago, Illinois. She released her first studio album Funkdafied in 1994 on So So Def Records. She made history becoming the first female solo rap act to receive a platinum certification. She now works for the Rickey Smiley Morning show as a co-host on Dish Nation in Atlanta. Since 2016, Da Brat has appeared on the reality TV series The Rap Game, as a mentor to young talent. In 2017 Da Brat joined the reality TV series Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta which follows around Atlanta legends and children of Atlanta legends.
Da Brat has released a series of mixtapes with new music and in support of new emerging artist in the music industry. On December 9, 2021, she released FOR YALL Vol. 2. The mixtape opening track gives a humble yet boasting feature from IamCompton, VH1 Black Ink Crew- Compton. The 12 song mixtape features bangers with good production and a lyrical standard that gives promise to the FOR YALL mixtape series.
